Booklinq allows operators and guests to request deletion of their personal data at any time. We respect your privacy and are committed to honoring your data rights.

How to Request Deletion

To request deletion of your personal data, please follow these steps:

  1. Email us at support@booklinq.co with the subject line "Data Deletion Request"
  2. Include the following information in your email:
    • Your full name
    • The phone number and/or email address associated with your Booklinq account or booking
    • A brief note confirming you are requesting deletion of your personal data
Example Email:

Subject: Data Deletion Request
Body: Hello, I would like to request deletion of my personal data from Booklinq. My name is [Your Name], and my registered email/phone is [Your Contact]. Please confirm once the deletion is complete. Thank you.

What Happens Next

  • We will process your request within 30 days of receiving your email.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
  • Some data may be retained beyond this period where required by law (for example, tax and financial records) or for legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention.

WhatsApp and Instagram Data

If you connected your WhatsApp Business number or Instagram account to Booklinq:

  • Your message history and conversation data will be deleted from our systems within the same 30-day window upon request.
  • Please note that messages stored on Meta's servers (WhatsApp/Instagram) are subject to Meta's own data retention policies and must be managed separately through your WhatsApp or Instagram settings.

Data That May Be Retained

In certain cases, we may retain some of your data even after a deletion request:

  • Legal Compliance: Tax records, invoices, and financial transaction data required by law (typically 7 years for tax purposes).
  • Fraud Prevention: Records necessary to prevent fraudulent activity or abuse of our platform.
  • Dispute Resolution: Data required to resolve ongoing disputes or legal claims.
  • Aggregated Analytics: Anonymized, non-identifiable data used for business analytics and service improvement.

All retained data will be kept secure and used only for the specific purposes outlined above.
